[English]

Since its establishment, the Zionist regime has faced numerous challenges at various levels, including the military sphere, due to its inherent lack of legitimacy. Contrary to the claims of its leaders regarding extensive deterrence capabilities against military threats, the regime suffers from significant vulnerabilities in the military dimension, particularly the absence of strategic depth. Accordingly, this study, using a descriptive and analytical method and utilizing the theoretical framework of the Copenhagen School, it seeks to answer this question: What are the most important dimensions of the Zionist regime's military vulnerability, and what strategies has this regime used to compensate for this structural weakness? The findings of this research indicate that, alongside the crisis of human capital and the weakness of its defense and missile systems, the lack of strategic depth is one of the most prominent weaknesses and military vulnerabilities of the Zionist regime, which has affected its national security and military capabilities. This fundamental weakness has led the regime to consistently fear long-term and attritional wars. Limited territorial size, the shape of the occupied lands, being in a hostile geopolitics at the domestic and regional levels, as well as the decline in the legitimacy of this regime in public opinion at the international level, are among the fundamental challenges for the Zionist regime in the field of strategic depth. Nevertheless, the Zionists attempt to overcome these weaknesses by adopting various measures, such as creating artificial strategic depth, normalizing and strengthening relations with regional states, etc.
