In recent years, the Abraham Accords, as a significant geopolitical development in West Asia, have demonstrated the efforts of major powers to redesign the regional order and align the interests of regional countries with the global structure. An accurate understanding of the objectives and strategies of these accords is strategically important for analyzing the trends of convergence and divergence among member countries and comprehending regional developments. This research aims to examine the objectives and strategies of the Abraham Accords, seeking to analyze the internal logic of these accords within the framework of the world's geopolitical structure. The main research question is: What objectives do the Abraham Accords pursue, and what strategies are employed to achieve them?
This study was conducted using a qualitative approach and thematic analysis method. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using MAXQDA software. Consequently, 87 basic themes, 25 organizing themes, and 7 overarching themes were identified within two dimensions: "Objectives" and "Strategies." The findings indicate that the main objectives of the accords are to consolidate the hegemony of central powers, enhance the position of the Zionist regime in the regional structure, and weaken the Axis of Resistance and the Islamic-Revolutionary discourse. Additionally, the geostrategic rearrangement of West Asia and multi-layered diplomacy are among the most important strategies for achieving these objectives.
