The Holy Defense is one of the most brilliant and significant portions of the history of the Islamic Revolution and one of the greatest credits of the Iranian nation in the history of the country. "Support" was an important part of the holy defense that its management in the war had a great impact on the fronts. In 1365, in the midst of the Iran-Iraq war, since the Supreme Defense Council was unable to resolve the issue of war support due to its operational volume, the Supreme War Support Council was founded to regulate the relations of the three forces and coordinate and address the support situation of the fronts and provision of troops. The members of this council were selected and introduced by Imam Khomeini (RA) and this council had wide powers. Considering the lack of research content regarding the performance of the mentioned council, the present research seeks to answer the question, what was the role of the Supreme War Support Council in the holy defense? The hypothesis of the researchers is that the Supreme War Support Council has had an effective and fundamental role in the human support and logistics of the holy defense through the organization of the people's forces and the provision of material facilities. This research is applied based on the results and the data has been collected from reliable sources using library and documentary methods. Qualitative content analysis method was also used for data analysis.
