In this research, the successor training pattern at the sacred defense in the thought and performance of Mohsen Rezaei has been discussed. In two sessions, he said his points in the form of a semi-structured interview. Then, the text of the interviews was examined by the theme analysis method and 57 descriptive code was obtained. Descriptive codes were categorized in the form of 16 organized code and finally the basic themes were obtained in three titles "merit, the method of discovery and training method". Based on the results of this study, it can be claimed that the successor training model had been done in three steps: first, determining the necessary competencies for command implantation, second, drawing methods to explore those competencies in individuals and third, breeding the same competencies in selected individuals for the higher facial positions
