The Middle East region has always seen developments and transformations during its modern history. In the meantime, the occupation of Iraq by the United States in 2003, the overthrow of Saddam and regime change in this country can be considered the most important event that at all forms a new era of interactions among the regional actors, the balance of power in the Middle East. The political tensions and its conflict can lead to an increase of insecurity in societies and the incidence of security challenges, and ultimately, to the regional crisis. The experience of the Taliban's performance at the beginning of the 21st century and the repression of the USA government in the Middle East region formed a strike that has been featured in forming the sects and appearance of insecurity in Islamic countries. The crisis in Iraq which began by the show of the Takfiri group called ISIS (the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) from the beginning of this year and continued over the past few months, is the product of sectarian conflicts that has rooted in the past performance of foreign interference in the region and has made its continues at the region. Iraq is neighbor with major regional actors, including Iran, Turkey and Saudi Arabia, so its developments are influential on these countries. Iran among the neighbors and regional actors in Iraq, with a positive approach to the realities and the new political structure of that country has constantly supported establishing security, stability, territorial integrity and national unity of Iraq after Saddam. However, Iraq (after Saddam) due to insecurity, the presence of American forces, sectarian violence, the presence of Salafi forces and extremism growth, has also been some threats (albeit temporary) for Iran. Therefore, Iraq has an exact definition of Iranian national interests with its geopolitical characteristics, ethnic, religious, cultural and economic characteristics and has a specific position in Iran's policies
